Entertainment industry
With so much freedom waiting at our digital fingertips, we couldn’t help but wonder how we would fare with some of Far Cry 5‘s challenges in real life. Before we plunge headlong into the open-world awesomeness of the game, we decided to put our skills to the test in the real world. Nerdist partnered with Ubisoft and 511 Tactical to send Kyle Hill, Erika Ishii, and me to train under the guidance of Army veteran Rick Hogg (War HOGG Tactical) and take our skills to the next level. During our time under Rick’s tutelage, we learned how to improve our marskmanship, how to drive like Hollywood stunt performers, how to train a dog for use in high pressure situations, and much more. Missouri-based Propper International recently hosted a full-day training event at the Granite City Police Department’s private gun range on October 29th. Members from police departments across the Greater St. Louis area attended with military police and other federal agencies represented as well.
Throughout the day, they received instruction from renowned tactical trainer Rick Hogg. Hogg is a 29-year US Army Special Operation Combat Veteran with 13 combat deployments between Iraq and Afghanistan. Since returning from overseas, Hogg provides comprehensive firearms training to military and law enforcement through his proven training methodology service company War HOGG Tactical, Inc.
